Shawl/ Cowl Cuffs

Wow! What a wild ride it has been! If you are into knitting shawls, cowls or anything that adorns your neck I am sure you have seen the latest craze. shawl/ cowl cuffs. They were not my idea but I have been making them since the beginning of the craze. I never liked the idea of using a shawl pin (only because of my occupation). So when I saw my friend wearing her wrist ruler around her shawl I knew I could get behind that and wear my shawls more often. They work so well to keep shawls in place. I even wear one with my cowls which don’t need it for any functional purpose but I think it just looks awesome!

I am having sooooo much fun making them. I can’t get over the response. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has admired, purchased or helped create them.

Honestly making cuffs has been such a joy- it is an activity that Kris and I do together. He joins me in the studio and we make them together. I am sure a lot of you out there get it, you love knitting/ crocheting/ making but your significant other doesn’t really get it. The sheer joy you get from the whole process of creating something for yourself or someone else. Well making cuffs has allowed me to share that passion with Kris and he likes it because he gets to whack things with a hammer, it is a lot less finicky then making stitch markers thats for sure. We spend hours together chatting, laughing and creating together. So honestly I hope that shawl/ cowl cuffs stay around for a long time so I can continue to spend this unique crafting time with my soulmate. Selfish I know but can you blame me?
